VIBGG Funding Fee Calculator: Position Size, Holding Days and Historical Scenarios

Check full position value and settlement intervals before reading funding amounts. BlockVar and VIBGG share an operator, as disclosed below.

VIBGG is a free browser tool for comparing perpetual-futures funding costs across Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget and Gate. It translates a rate into a dollar amount for a position and holding period. The calculator can be used without an account, exchange API key or wallet connection.

What the calculator compares

Choose a contract, enter the full position value, select long or short, then set holding days and leverage. The table compares funding scenarios across exchanges and shows funding as a share of margin. Use the notional position value rather than just the margin deposited. When notional stays the same, leverage changes the margin percentage rather than the funding amount.

A worked example

For arithmetic only, assume a USDT-margined long remains at 10,000 USDT notional, the rate stays at +0.01% per eight hours, and the position spans all 21 settlements in seven days. Funding paid is 10,000 × 0.0001 × 21 = 21 USDT. A short receives 21 USDT under those assumptions. Negative funding reverses the payment direction. Binance's funding explanation lists the formula and the open-at-settlement condition in the source below.

Use the scenarios carefully

The current-rate column extends the latest rate across your holding period; the other scenario uses the past 30-day average. Compare both and check their assumptions. Neither predicts future payments. Actual funding depends on each settlement's position value and rate, and contracts can use different intervals. Verify the contract schedule and account records at the exchange. Funding alone excludes opening and closing fees, spread and slippage; the lowest funding estimate need not mean the lowest total cost.
