Points program

Bless · Browser node uptime points

Install the Bless extension or desktop client and build up contribution for uptime. One account links up to five devices and VPS nodes earn nothing; the data service's privacy policy allows browsing data to be sold, so read it first.

What is the project, and how can you take part?

Bless is a decentralized edge computing network that aims to turn the idle computing power of ordinary computers and browsers into one "shared computer". You take part by installing the official Chrome extension or desktop client and keeping the device online. According to the website, contribution is currently measured by how long the extension runs; compute tasks completed by your device will count later, and referrals and achievements add bonuses.

According to Bless's MiCA whitepaper, activity is still in an incentivized testnet phase, where users accumulate uptime points. After mainnet, BLESS is planned for node staking and for rewarding and settling compute tasks. How points convert, and whether they convert to BLESS, follows the project's current official statements.

The thing to understand before you start is data privacy. Bless also runs a data service. Its website says contributing behavioral data is your choice and nothing is collected if you decline, but the service's privacy policy states that it may sell personal information, including browsing history, URLs visited, search history and AI prompts and responses, to data purchasers, and discloses that identifiers and internet activity data were sold in the preceding 12 months. For background and analysis, see what Bless Network is.

A good starting point if

People with a computer that can stay on for long periods, who are willing to contribute idle computing power and can accept the data privacy terms.

Think it through first

If you mind your browsing and search history being sold, do not turn on data collection. Running several browsers or a VPS does not increase rewards.

What it takes

01

Data privacy

What may be sold

What to consider

The privacy policy for Bless's data service states that it may sell personal information to data purchasers for AI research, analytics, model development and other commercial purposes. Collected categories include email, IP address and device identifiers; browsing history, URLs visited, page titles, search history, and AI prompts and responses; and approximate location inferred from IP. For users outside the EEA, UK, Switzerland and BVI, using the service counts as consent. You can withdraw by uninstalling the Bless Data extension or by emailing a request to delete your account and data.

02

Electricity and device load

The cost of staying online

What to consider

A node keeps the device on for long periods and uses electricity and some computing resources. Bless says tasks run in a WebAssembly sandbox, but battery wear and heat on a laptop are yours to weigh.

03

Uncertain rules and point value

Uptime points are not income

What to consider

This is an incentivized testnet, and the points rules, conversion and timing can change. Do not estimate earnings from points, and do not buy new hardware to run a node.

Before you start: a short checklist
  • A computer that can run Chrome extensions. Bless advises against phones, which may limit connectivity, drain the battery and hit more bugs.
  • No VPS: Bless says VPS nodes are not rewarded.
  • Willingness to keep a device online, with its electricity and resource use, after reading the data service's privacy policy.

How to participate, step by step

  1. Install the node from the website

On bless.network, choose the Chrome extension or the desktop quick-start installer. Do not install look-alike extensions from other sources.

    Read step instructions
  2. Read the data option during setup

The website says behavioral data is collected only with your consent and nothing is collected if you decline. If you do not accept that your data may be sold, decline, and confirm that you are installing the compute node rather than a separate data extension.

  3. Sign in and stay online

Sign in and keep the node running, then check uptime and contribution on the website dashboard. One account links up to five devices, with one node per device.

  4. Use a separate browser profile

Install the node in its own browser profile, apart from the everyday browser where you keep wallets and important logged-in accounts.

Reward rules and eligibility

The website says contribution is first measured by extension uptime, with completed compute tasks to count later and bonuses for referrals and achievements. According to the MiCA whitepaper, this is still an incentivized testnet accumulating uptime points; how points convert, and whether they convert to BLESS, follows current official statements. This page does not estimate a point value or earnings.

How can you check your records after completing tasks?
Know which extension you install
The compute node and the data service are different things: the official FAQ says the node processes compute tasks in a sandbox, while the privacy policy covers the Bless Data service. Check the extension's name and permissions when installing.
Device and network rules
One account links up to five devices with one node per device. Running nodes in several browsers adds no rewards and can cause bugs that will not be fixed; several nodes on one IP gain no advantage; VPS nodes are not rewarded.
Check contribution only on the dashboard
Uptime and contribution are shown on the official dashboard. Treat third-party pages that promise to restore or boost points, or ask you to connect and approve a wallet, as phishing.

Common participation questions

Can Bless uptime points be converted to BLESS?

According to the MiCA whitepaper, this is still an incentivized testnet where users accumulate uptime points, and after mainnet BLESS is planned for node staking and task settlement. Whether and how points convert to BLESS follows official announcements; this page does not estimate it.

Do several browsers or a VPS earn more?

No. Bless says running several browsers at once does not increase rewards and can cause bugs that will not be fixed, VPS nodes are not rewarded, and several nodes on one IP gain no advantage.

Does running Bless collect my browsing data?

According to Bless, the compute node runs in a sandbox. The data service, which requires your consent, is what collects and may sell data such as browsing and search history. Decline it during setup if you do not want to take part; if you already agreed, uninstall the Bless Data extension or email Bless to request deletion.

Can I run it on a phone?

It may install, but Bless strongly recommends a computer: phones can limit connectivity, drain the battery quickly and experience more bugs.
