Launchpool, Jumpstart and spot listings: what differs?
Separate trading from participation through eligibility, committed capital, rewards and historical announcements.

How do listings differ from token activities?
A spot listing provides a trading market. Launchpool and Jumpstart campaigns distribute rewards under separate conditions. A listing is not evidence that you qualify, and buying the token is not a default participation step.
Reading a Launchpool campaign
Binance Launchpool distributes project tokens for locking supported assets. Check the current campaign’s assets, dates, allocation method, exit process and account eligibility. Historical supported assets do not establish the next campaign’s rules.
How Launchpool rewards are shared
According to Binance Academy's guide, updated in June 2026, Launchpool asks you to lock BNB or a supported stablecoin (USDC and FDUSD are mentioned) during a campaign, and shares project tokens by your share of the pool:
- The tokens you lock stay yours; you are not spending them.
- Rewards accrue every hour in proportion to your share of the pool. If the pool holds 1,000,000 BNB and you lock 1,000 BNB, you receive 0.1% of the rewards.
- You can unlock at any time before the campaign ends and keep the rewards accrued so far. When it ends, your assets and rewards return to your Spot account automatically.
Binance HODLer Airdrops are a separate mechanism: tokens are distributed automatically based on BNB held at a snapshot, with no locking required. Eligibility and timing for each are set in their own announcements.
Why old Jumpstart tutorials are insufficient
The ANIME Jumpstart announcement, for example, defined a January 20–23, 2025 window and specific staking assets. That historical campaign has ended. Use it to understand an announcement’s structure, not as evidence of an opportunity today.
What the ANIME campaign shows about reading a Jumpstart notice
Take OKX's ANIME Jumpstart announcement of January 17, 2025 (the campaign has ended). The terms that mattered were:
- Stakeable assets were OKB or BTC, capped at 600 OKB or 0.3 BTC per person, with no minimum.
- Mining ran from 06:00 UTC on January 20 to 06:00 UTC on January 23, 2025, with rewards calculated from each minute's share of the stake.
- You could stake and unstake at any time; afterwards, remaining assets were released automatically and rewards reached the funding account within two hours.
- Identity verification was required, users from Hong Kong and Korea were ineligible, and sub-accounts could not take part.
A new campaign can change the assets, caps, dates and regional limits, so check each term against the current announcement before taking part.
Understanding committed capital
Write down the assets committed, expected duration, exit conditions and costs. Reward quantities differ from realizable value, and token rewards do not necessarily offset changes in the assets you commit.
Where to go next
Check publication dates in activity announcements. For testnets, points and community tasks, compare the steps in the project library. Before moving assets, read the withdrawal guide.
